报告题目：The reduced ODE systems describing metastable dynamics in models of biology and mechanics

摘要：In this talk, I will present two examples from microfluidics and mathematical biology of cell evolution where non-linearly coupled reduced ODE models arise from the governing parabolic partial differential equations. These reduced finite dimensional models describe the collision dynamics of metastable solutions to the underlying PDEs. The corresponding reduction and well-posedness of these models rise several non-trivial questions from the side of analysis.

Georgy Kitavtsev博士简介

Georgy Kitavtsev博士是国际动力系统领域的活跃学者之一，现为牛津大学数学中心工业及应用数学的讲师。Georgy Kitavtsev博士2005年毕业于莫斯科鲍曼国立技术大学，2010年于柏林洪堡大学获得博士学位，2010-2015担任马克斯普朗克数学研究所博士后研究员。

Georgy Kitavtsev博士主要研究动力系统、奇异摄动问题分析、非线性偏微分方程的数值方法、非凸变分问题等领域，同时也取得了取得了很好的研究成果，并在AIMS Mathematics、Applied Analysis、J. Math. Anal. Appl.、J. Adv. Res. Appl. Math、Math. Mod. Meth. Appl. Sci、Nonlinearity、Nonlin. Anal. B、Phys. Fluids、SIAM J. Math. Anal.、SIAM J. Appl. Math等国际重要学术期刊上发表论文。
